In addition to those rescued, 9 human traffickers were captured and weapons, drugs and instruments of torture were seized.

The abducted migrants were from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. According to police information, the victims were subjected to torture and abuse of all kinds.

The two homes where the operations were carried out are located, the first, in the west of Ciudad Juárez, less than four kilometers from the border with the United States, on the other hand, the second house of captives was located in the colony Barrio Nuevo, about 10 kilometers from the border with the American city of El Paso, Texas.

The text reads,
The president @lopezobrador_
reported two proposed projects that could help address migration: continuing the Mayan Train through Belize and Guatemala and the Tapachula Train to Guatemala. He also shared that yesterday a group of migrants kidnapped in the North was released.

Six of the kidnappers were armed and opened fire against police forces. Two of the criminals were minors and two were women.

The events reflect a wave of kidnapping of migrants on Mexico’s northern border, where a report by the Chihuahua State Police revealed in May that in the last three years they released more than 1,700 undocumented immigrants, who represent about a third of the crime victims in the country.
